Bodies in Harmony: Dancing Towards the Encounter - Body, Identity and Belonging

  • La Caldera de les Corts C/ d'Eugeni d'Ors, 12 Barcelona Spain (map)

Session #3: Dancing Towards the Encounter - Body, Identity and Belonging
Led by Raquel Cano, Dance Movement Therapist, Pedagogue, and Gestalt Therapist

What is Dance Movement Therapy (DMT)?

An artistic-creative therapy that seeks body-mind integration and well-being through the therapeutic use of dance and movement to promote cognitive, physical, and social integration. You can participate in individual or group therapy sessions.

During these group sessions, we will create a safe space where you can recognize, feel, and express your emotions. Listen and discover your body language through spontaneous or guided movement along with expressive arts, such as drawing, writing, music, and theater, among others.

Who is it for?

If you are curious about DMT and want to experiment with your body and movement, this is for you. If you are a psychology professional, a therapist in other creative disciplines or artistic professions, and seek a more in-depth understanding of DMT, this is for you.

You are welcome, regardless of previous dance or therapy experience!

Create harmony between your mind and body through dance movement therapy.
